The duration of the program is set at three (3) academic semesters, each lasting thirteen (13) weeks of teaching, which includes the time for the preparation, submission and examination of the dissertation.
The compulsory courses are not less than 39 teaching hours (Article 64, paragraph 3 of Law 4957/2022).
The permitted duration of fulfilling all the required obligations is from three (3) minimum to six (6) academic semesters maximum. However, only in exceptional circumstances, a suspension of studies may be granted upon recommendation of the Coordinating Committee and the approval of the Departmental Assembly, and this period of time is not included in the total required duration of the completion of the program.
The duration of the courses per semester is at least thirteen (13) weeks, corresponding to 30 ECTS.
The period of time for writing the master’s dissertation may not be less than six (6) months and not more than eighteen (18) months.
Successful completion of studies is determined by the successful performance in the courses and the successful completion of the Dissertation.
The MSc leads to the award of a Postgraduate Diploma with a level seven (7) of the National and European Qualifications Framework, in accordance with article 47 of Law No. 4763/2020.
Postgraduate students may apply for a suspension of studies (for purposes such as military service, illness, absence abroad), provided that they submit all the relevant documents. The decision is taken by the Departmental Assembly on the recommendation of the Coordinating Committee.
At the beginning of each semester and before the beginning of the courses, the academic calendar of the MSc is announced to the postgraduate students, which is determined by a decision of the Departmental Assembly, following the recommendation of the Board of Directors. The academic calendar of the MSc includes the start and end dates of the semesters, holidays, as well as the examination dates.
The evaluation of postgraduate students and their performance in the courses is carried out by written or oral examinations or by the preparation of assignments throughout the semester. The method of assessment is presented thoroughly in the outline of each course.
