Μsc.EPI 10 Applied Research in Health Prevention and Health Promotion (Writing scientific articles, Securing Research Funding, Bioethics)

This course is designed to educate postgraduate students on the fundamental principles of Bioethics and ethics in basic and applied research, as well as on the submission process of study protocols. Moreover, students will learn the main characteristics of the types of scientific papers (review, systematic review, research paper, meta-analysis) and develop skills required for the proper preparation of a valid scientific paper.

 

In this context, students will study in depth and be able to:

· understand the theoretical background and acquire skills required to secure the necessary funding for the development and implementation of new research ideas.

· recognize and understand the ethical issues and concerns encountered and addressed in the context of applied research in the field of Community Health Prevention and Promotion

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be properly prepared to fulfill all the academic requirements, but will also be trained in designing and writing a scientific research project. In addition, they will be educated about the research process in the context of principles, methods and applications of Health Promotion, in the field of Public and Community Health.
