Qualitative research is also gaining ground in Health Sciences. More specifically, qualitative research is carried out in real-life conditions rather than in artificial, experimentally controlled conditions. Researchers in Health Sciences use qualitative research to clarify research questions that cannot be answered by quantitative research. More precisely, researchers use qualitative research to further investigate, understand and interpret various phenomena, human beliefs, behaviours, attitudes, perceptions, experiences, values, opinions, thoughts and knowledge.
In this context, students will study in depth study and be able to:
· understand the basic principles of Qualitative Research in Health Sciences and the ethical issues that arise
· understand the main methods of data collection in qualitative research, including interviews, focus groups and observation, etc.
· comprehend the procedures for organizing, classifying and analyzing qualitative data. As a result, Qualitative Research will become a valuable tool for acquiring reliable and valid knowledge.
